            1. Where is the school located?


  Alchemy School is located at a calm and serene place at Ladvi, near Parvat Patia, Aai Mata Circle, CanalRoad. The School building is away from the main road and canal, to avoid all possible noise disturbance and hazards. Even a visit to the school is an experience of its own

.

2. Is this a Co-educational School?

   Yes, it is a Co-educational School.

 

3. Which Board is your school affiliated to?

   The School is affiliated to CBSE board vide Affiliation Number 430171.

 

4. What do you mean by Affiliation Number ?

   Affiliation number is a number given by the Central Board to schools affiliated to the Board.

 

5. Can a school be called a CBSE school without the Affiliation number?

   No school can be a CBSE school, without the Affiliation Number.

 

6. Is CBSE affiliation and CBSE pattern the same thing?

   No, it is not the same thing. Having CBSE affliation means that the School is monitored by the Central Board. Whereas, CBSE pattern means, just following the curricula of the Central Board and not monitored by it.

 

7. Till which standard will the school be extended in the Academic Session 2013-’14?

   The School will have standard Nursery to IX in the Academic Session 2013-’14.

 

8. Up to which standard will the School be extended in the coming years?

   The School shall have Standard – Nursery to XII by April 2015.

 

9. Is the school well equipped with Infra-structure for XII?

   Yes, we have complete support system and infrastructure planned for a full- fledged Senior Secondary School.

 

10. Is there any facility for on-line Registration/Admission?

  For registration/admission your visit to the School is a must.

 

11. Will there be an entrance test for the admission? Will you also hold an interview or an interaction with the child and the parents?

    There will be no interview but only interaction with the children and the Parents, for the Pre-Primary Section. Written test for Classes I to IX shll be conducted. Admission will be confirmed only after receipt of the necessary documents and the fees paid.

 

12. What kind of teaching method is used in the school?

   We believe in the concept of “Involve me and I understand”. For that we have the facility of

e-learning. We also encourage our students to present digital assemblies.

 

13. How are Parents kept posted of the happenings at school?

    We have different means like school diary, circulars, Parent-Teacher Meetings and the SMS`s to stay in touch with school besides, the Helpline Number.

 

14. Why is it important to attend Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTM)? Do you also conduct any Orientation for Parents?

    PTMs are very important as Parents come to know about the progress of their wards and is also a means of interaction between Teachers and Parents. Yes, we do conduct workshops for Parents at regular intervals by renowned and experienced mentors.

 

15. Does school provide transport in all parts of the city?

    We cover all the major parts in the area. Due to time constraints it is not possible for us to provide door-to-door facility. Bus stops are decided according to the particular areas and Parents co-operate by following the same.

 

16. What if I do not come to collect my child from the bus stop?

    It is mandatory for all the Parents to collect their wards from the bus stop, but in case if the Parent does not come to collect the child, we drop the child at our office - Alchemy Juniors at Shahid Goverdhan Singh Chowk, Karunesh Nagar Society, Opp: Model Town, Parvat Patiya. Safety of the child is important to us.

 

17. What do you do for the safety of the child?

   We have installed the GPRS i.e. bus tracking system, in all our buses which keeps us well informed about the location of the buses. Daily attendance machines have also been installed in the School where children’s I-Cards are scanned and their arrival in the school is reported to their Parents.

 

18. Does the school give homework? If yes why?

   Learning is a life-long process and can be done best with practice, experiment and experience. To keep our children in practice, we give worksheets and assignments. We follow the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation System of CBSE.

 

19. Will there be any arrangement if the child has a learning difficulty?

   Yes, we have extra-classes. Teachers gives one to one attention to the child during the extra class if needed.

 

20. Will there be an increase in the fees and by what percentage?

   Fees are likely to increase by 6-10% every year.

 

21. What is the age criteria for the Academic Year 2017-’18?

               The child should have completed the following Age as on 31st March 2017:-

22.  Do you have Co-curricular activities during the school hours?

     Yes, Co-Curricular Activities are part of our Time-Table and training is given by qualified Trainers and Coaches.

 

23.  Which Sports/Games/Co – Curricular activities does the School offer to the children?

      The School offers Skating, Dance, Singing, Dramatics and Literary Activities viz , Declamations, Debates, Poem Recitation etc.

Our Skaters have been winning prizes in Inter-school competitions and our boys have been representing the state in Football for the past two years.

             Our coaches are also training the students in Athletics, Kho-Kho and other games
